Wah...awal yg menyenangkan dan penuh harapan dgn Agent trip ini.. Dijemput di Bandara, diantar ke Hotel... Terimakasih. Besoknya,  sudah dialihkan ke Vendor kapal Phinisi EL - Ashar. Diantar ke Pelabuhan, ketemu guide Nabila lalu naik boat kecil untuk antar ke Kapal.. Disambut utk ABK yg baik dan sopan.. walaupun agak kurang ngobrolnya.  Selalu menjaga Keselamatan kami dan barang2 kami sehingga aman dan selamat sampai akhir. Kamarnya bersih n terawat... karena kapal ini baru 1 tahun kurang beroperasi. Tapi saya sempat pusing dan mual di hari PERTAMA saja krm memang tidak biasa tidur di kapal 2 hari. Makanannya enak dan porsinya banyak..bahkan banyak sisa bbrp waktu makan. Hanya utk sajian daging , MASIH KURANG LEMBUT alias Alot.  kokinya masih baru, masih awal masak. Pas memang trip sailing di bulan Juli, lautan tenang dan tidak mengkuatirkan. Fotografer kami, Rahman, orangnya enak ngobrol, baik hati, sopan,  suka mengajak kami foto berulang kali di banyak momen dan tempat... termasuk di pantai dan saat snorkeling di hari Pertama. Hanya kurang foto2 di dalam air dgn Kamera bawah air atau GoPro.. saat snorkeling atau free dive.. padahal karang2 dan ikan2 cantik bila Kami di foto dengan situasi spt ini. Harap berikutnya,  Fotografer adalah orang yg suka air, menyelam untuk mengambil foto kami DARI DALAM AIR.. sebagai foto kenangan yg indah di laut labuan Bajo. Kami sudah diberikan hasil jepretan selama trip.. terimakasih. Nabila, guide yg baik n ramah, suka ngobrol dan informatif...bisa  bahasa Inggris utk tamu asing... Walaupun harus ditingkatkan lagi.. Kami bisa berinteraksi dgn baik dgn peserta trip..dan menjadi teman selama perjalanan.. Sekian. Terimakasih Bang Deo dan Tim. Semoga makin sukses Katura Adventure.. 🙏🙏😇

WHAT THE DAY FEEL LIKE

A full day by speedboat moves at a different rhythm.

You’ll start early and spend the day moving from one island to the next. There’s trekking at Padar, beach time, Komodo sightseeing, snorkeling, and plenty of time out on the water.

It’s active, scenic, and full — the kind of day where you’ll probably head back to Labuan Bajo tired, sun-kissed, and happy.

The best days in Komodo often begin before the sun is fully up.

There’s always another island, beach, or underwater spot waiting ahead.

One day, six stops, and plenty of moments to take home.

A FEW THINGS WORTH KNOWING

This is a full and active day on the water, with an early start and several stops along the way.

You’ll spend most of the day outdoors, moving between islands by speedboat, with time for trekking, beach stops, sightseeing, and snorkeling. The schedule is fairly full, so expect an energetic day with plenty of time in the sun and on the water.

The itinerary may change depending on weather, sea conditions, tides, and operational considerations. Some stops require walking or trekking, and conditions can be warm and physically demanding at times.

We plan every journey carefully, but Komodo is nature — which means not everything can be guaranteed

A Note From Katura

Some days are made for taking it slow. This one is made for seeing more.

A full-day speedboat trip means an early start and a lot of ground to cover, but that’s exactly what makes it special. In one day, you’ll move between islands, viewpoints, beaches, and some of Komodo’s best-known underwater spots.

It can be a long and active day, so come ready for an early morning, plenty of time outdoors, and a whole lot of sea.

WAE REBO ITINERARY

DAY 1

Pick-up: 07.00–08.00 LT
Departure: Estimated 08.00 LT

Road trip begins from Labuan Bajo. Start the journey by car towards Denge Village.

ROAD TRIP

Labuan Bajo → Denge Village

The drive takes approximately 4–5 hours

LUNCH

Lunch is provided during the road trip/at Denge Village

TREK TO WAE REBO

After lunch, prepare for the trek from Denge Valley to Wae Rebo Village. The trek takes approximately 2–3 hours, depending on body condition and endurance.

ARRIVE IN WAE REBO

Upon arrival, experience a welcoming ceremony at the head’s house, followed by time to observe and experience daily life within the local community.

OVERNIGHT

Stay at Mbaru Niang, Wae Rebo’s traditional cone-shaped house with its distinctive architecture.

Dinner & overnight stay.

DAY 2

LAST DAY

BREAKFAST

Breakfast with the local people.

EXPLORE WAE REBO

Spend some time exploring the village and experiencing the surroundings before starting your journey back.

TREK DOWN

Trek from Wae Rebo back to Denge.

CONTINUE BY BOAT

After lunch, continue the journey towards Nuca Molas by boat.

NUCA MOLAS

Enjoy photo stops from the boat with views of Nuca Molas Island.

LOWOK BEACH

Explore Lowok Beach.

NUCA MOLAS LIGHTHOUSE

Continue to the Nuca Molas Lighthouse.

RETURN

Head back to Labuan Bajo

WHAT THE DAYS FEEL LIKE

This is not a trip where every day looks the same.

Some days begin with an early morning view. Some are spent in the water. Some take you through places you may never have heard of before.

And in between it all, there are long stretches of open sea

THE MOUNTAINS

The first part of the journey takes you through the roads and forest trails of Flores, towards the remote village of Wae Rebo.

THE DESCENT

After breakfast and some time exploring the village, begin the journey back down to Denge.

THE VILLAGE

A traditional welcome, a shared meal, a night inside Mbaru Niang, and time to experience the everyday rhythm of the local community.

THE SEA

From Denge, continue by boat towards Nuca Molas and leave the mountains behind.

THE ISLAND

Spend the afternoon exploring the coast of Nuca Molas, stopping at Lowok Beach and continuing towards the Nuca Molas Lighthouse.

A FEW THINGS WORTH KNOWING

Wae Rebo is a mountain village, and reaching it requires a trek.

The first day involves a four to five-hour road trip followed by a two to three-hour uphill trek to Wae Rebo

The second day begins with another trek back down before continuing by boat to Nuca Molas.

Mobile signal may be lost

You’ll be moving between roads, mountain trails, traditional village spaces, beaches, and boats.

The itinerary may change depending on weather, sea conditions, and operational considerations. Come prepared for an active journey with different kinds of terrain and changing conditions.

A Note From Katura

Some journeys feel like two trips in one.

Wae Rebo takes you into the mountains, where the final stretch is on foot and the pace naturally slows down. Then, just as the landscape begins to change, the journey heads back towards the sea and on to Nuca Molas.

We love this trip because the contrast is part of what makes it special. One day is about walking, village life, and mountain air. The next is about open water, island views, and a completely different rhythm.

Come for the contrast. Stay for everything in between.

Road trip begins from Labuan Bajo. Start the journey by car towards Denge Village.

TREK TO WAE REBO

After lunch, prepare for the trek from Denge Valley to Wae Rebo Village. The trek takes approximately 2–3 hours, depending on body condition and endurance.

ARRIVE IN WAE REBO

Upon arrival, experience a welcoming ceremony at the head’s house, followed by time to observe and experience daily life within the local community.

OVERNIGHT

Stay at Mbaru Niang, Wae Rebo’s traditional cone-shaped house with its distinctive architecture.

Dinner & overnight stay.

EXPLORE WAE REBO

Spend some time exploring the village and experiencing the surroundings before starting your journey back.

Trek from Wae Rebo back to Denge.

WHAT THE DAYS FEEL LIKE

This is not a trip where every day looks the same.

THE ROAD

The journey from Labuan Bajo takes several hours, but the changing landscapes of Flores make the road part of the experience.

THE TRAIL

The trek from Denge to Wae Rebo takes approximately two to three hours, depending on your pace and physical condition.

THE ARRIVAL

At the village, you’ll be welcomed through a traditional ceremony before having the chance to experience the rhythm of daily life in Wae Rebo.

THE NIGHT

As the sun goes down, the village becomes quiet. Dinner, conversation, and a night spent inside Mbaru Niang — a traditional home unlike anywhere else you may have stayed.

THE MORNING

Wake up slowly, share breakfast with the local community, and take in the village before beginning the journey back down.

A FEW THINGS WORTH KNOWING

Wae Rebo is a mountain village, and reaching it requires a trek.

You should be prepared for an uphill hike on a natural mountain trail.

The village is remote, and the experience is intentionally simple. You will be staying in a traditional Mbaru Niang house, sharing the space with other travellers and members of the local community.

This is not a conventional hotel stay.

And while whale shark encounters are one of the highlights of this journey, wildlife sightings can never be guaranteed.

Wae Rebo isn’t a place you simply arrive at. You have to make your way there.

Two days on the water means a little bit of everything.

Early mornings. Long stretches of sea. Island walks. Swimming. Snorkeling. Wildlife. Sunsets. And the occasional moment where you realise you’ve completely lost track of what time it is.

DAY ONE

Settle into the rhythm of the sea.

Start with the calm waters of Kelor, explore the wild landscapes of Rinca, and end the day watching thousands of flying foxes leave Kalong Island at sunset.

DAY TWO

Wake up early. The view is worth it.

Climb Padar, swim at Pink Beach, float over the waters of Taka Makassar, and head out to Manta Point before making your way back to Labuan Bajo.

IN BETWEEN

There is plenty of time spent simply moving between the islands.

The sea, the breeze, the changing landscapes, and the people you’re sharing the journey with become part of the experience too.

THE KOMODO DAY

Wake up somewhere completely different. This is the day of iconic views, pink shores, wild landscapes, and the possibility of meeting marine life beneath the surface. It is a full day, and there is plenty to see.

THE QUIETER WATERS

As the journey continues east, the scenery begins to change. The familiar Komodo landscapes slowly give way to quieter waters and less familiar places. There is more time on the boat. More open sea. And more of the feeling that you are actually going somewhere.

THE WHALE SHARK DAY

This is the day many people look forward to most. Head towards Saleh Bay and enter the water for the chance to encounter whale sharks in their natural environment. Afterwards, continue towards Gili Bedil and let the day slow down again.

THE LAST MORNING

There is one final island stop before the journey comes to an end. After Kenawa Island, the boat continues towards Lombok. The sea journey ends. The next part of your trip begins.

You start with Komodo. You end in Lombok.
